If you need help in high school and college chemistry and mathematics courses then I am the tutor for you. In high school I excelled in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus and chemistry.
In college I earned my BS in chemistry and a minor in Mathematics and Physics. I further advanced my chemistry education with an MS in Chemistry. In my undergraduate and graduate studies I also was a teaching assistant. I had a few semesters of teaching a General Chemistry laboratory and a few semesters teaching a General Chemistry recitation. These experiences gave me a chance to tutor one on one or in a group. Currently, I use my education for an analytical contract lab to determine the composition of gas phase samples. Scott has been working with my son for several weeks now an my son's understanding of Algebra 2 is improving and so are his grades. Scott is patient and will review steps until it understood
My son had been struggling with this teacher for quite some time. Thanks to Scott's help he went from a C to and A! He is doing much better with this math class. Thanks Scott!
Tutoring her son has been a challenge because the teacher does not use a textbook or have a syllabus. Worksheets are given out on a regular basis.
Scott was very knowledgeable in this subject. He was very patient and made sure that I understood the concepts. He was always well prepared, very easy going, and easy to talk to, and willing to take extra time to finish the lesson if necessary. His availability and responsiveness were great. I would use him again as a tutor. Thanks!
Scott was patient with explaining things more than once to my daughter and took the time to go over things multiple times. It seems to be helping her with her math grade.
Scott is helping me with a college level Pre Calculus class. Not only has he been very accommodating with my erratic schedule but he has really improved my understanding of the material. Scott is always able to pick up the concepts that we are working on in class very quickly and is able to explain them much more clearly than my teacher. His ability to explain difficult concepts clearly is definitely his best attribute as a teacher. Since I've been working with Scott I've felt much more comfortable with the material and I feel confident that I will score much higher on my next test.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
