If you need help in high school and college chemistry and mathematics courses then I am the tutor for you. In high school I excelled in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus and chemistry.
In college I earned my BS in chemistry and a minor in Mathematics and Physics. I further advanced my chemistry education with an MS in Chemistry. In my undergraduate and graduate studies I also was a teaching assistant. I had a few semesters of teaching a General Chemistry laboratory and a few semesters teaching a General Chemistry recitation. These experiences gave me a chance to tutor one on one or in a group. Currently, I use my education for an analytical contract lab to determine the composition of gas phase samples. Scott was very knowledgeable in this subject. He was very patient and made sure that I understood the concepts. He was always well prepared, very easy going, and easy to talk to, and willing to take extra time to finish the lesson if necessary. His availability and responsiveness were great. I would use him again as a tutor. Thanks!
Scott was patient with explaining things more than once to my daughter and took the time to go over things multiple times. It seems to be helping her with her math grade.
Scott is helping me with a college level Pre Calculus class. Not only has he been very accommodating with my erratic schedule but he has really improved my understanding of the material. Scott is always able to pick up the concepts that we are working on in class very quickly and is able to explain them much more clearly than my teacher. His ability to explain difficult concepts clearly is definitely his best attribute as a teacher. Since I've been working with Scott I've felt much more comfortable with the material and I feel confident that I will score much higher on my next test.
I have been reading the Bible every since I could read. In college I received an A in Bible Literature. I also studied Introduction to Philosophy and Religion and Greater Philosophical and Religious Ideas where I earned and A and A- respectively. Currently, I study commentaries about the Bible and teach the Bible to a group of people.
I received my B.S. degree in chemistry at a small liberal arts college, Eastern Nazarene College. After undergraduate school I attended graduate school at The Pennsylvania State University . My experience has focused on analytical chemistry. I have worked in various laboratories in the chemical industry for the past 20 plus years.
I started playing the clarinet in 4th grade and took private lessons. I was always in the concert band all through school. During high school I played the wind ensemble and marching band. I continued playing my clarinet for 2 years in college. During my high school years and after my undergraduate studies I played in various instrumental groups at churches.
I studied Organic Chemistry in college. I took Organic Chemistry I and II and received grades of A- and A respectively. In graduate school I also used organic chemistry lab techniques to make a compound of interest. Also, in one of my jobs I used laboratory techniques to synthesize and purify organic products.
I minored in physics in college. I earned As and Bs in my courses.
