About Lee

As a successful educator and tutor, I create a learning environment through which student knowledge is drawn out through proper guidance or facilitation. I attribute education to the following four active and fluid processes: 1) Guiding, 2) Inspiring, 3) Infecting, and 4) Learning. My approach is through the eyes of the student, where I create a nurturing environment that incites students to become involved in what they are learning, as they are learning it. In order to bring out the best from my students, I inspire them to perform at their maximum potential by taking responsibility to arouse the curiosity of every student with a desire to learn.

My specialty is undergraduate-level chemistry (both introductory and organic), while I have tutored high school students in a variety of science and mathematics courses.

"A hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank...but the world may be a better place because I made a difference in the life of a child."

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
