Purdue University, West Lafayette (Master's)
Drexel University Philadelphia, PA (Graduate Coursework)
My credentials are a combination of broad advanced education in Chemistry, beginning at the Bachelor level through the Master level ( I actually finished all the coursework for a Ph.D. but opted for a non-thesis master's option). My education is combined with many years of industry experience as well as 5 years of teaching experience in graduate school and in college after graduation while working in industry. I believe that my industry experience can also bring a real world application of some chemical concepts.
My emphasis in graduate school was organic chemistry with significant course work in biochemistry as well. At the same time I completed course work in inorganic and physical chemistry through the 600 level. My grades were good throughout undergraduate and graduate school. I attended two outstanding schools: Carroll University and Purdue University.
I believe I possess excellent communication skills and a comprehensive understanding of the subject which will allow me to be effective in enhancing the students' understanding of chemistry to a higher level. My goal will be to help maximize the students understanding through a logical process of explanation and examples which will make chemistry easier to understand. Chemistry seems difficult to some; I can teach it so that it will be much easier to understand.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a BS and MS in Chemistry and have had teaching experience in the past and feel I am well qualified to help you gain a better understanding of Chemistry.
My educational background includes a BS in chemistry, which includes organic chemistry, and an MS Organic Chemistry Major (actually finished all course work and passed all tests for PhD but opted for the non-thesis Master's option at the time).
I have 5 years of teaching experience in Graduate School and in college after beginning my industrial work career at the Bachelor level. The teaching included organic chemistry as part of the course work.
My work career was entirely involved with organic chemistry, which included plastics technology and ink technology, as a part of formulation, product and process development.
