Hello! My name is Keara. I am a sophomore at Tulane University with a major in Sociology, a minor in Psychology, and a concentration in Pre-Law. I am a member of Tulane's Peace Corps Prep, a Desk Service Coordinator, the Vice President of Programming for the Housing and Residence Life Association, the Founder and President of the Tulane Irish Dance Club, and an English as a Second Language Tutor. I plan on going into Animal Rights, Environmental, and Child Abuse and Neglect Law. I am in the process of writing and publish my first trilogy.

Ever since I was a little kid, I've loved everything about English, and began reading and writing at a very young age. In the 3rd grade, I penned my first short story. Throughout middle school and high school, I had poems and short stories published in the school's art collection newsletter. And when I was in the tenth grade, I won an award for my poem in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Reading and writing are most definitely a passion of mine.

I began teaching when I was twelve years old at the Irish dance school I have danced at since I was 3-4 years of age. I worked as a teaching assistant for a year and then, when I was 13 years old, I was given my own class to run, which I taught until the August before I left for college in 2016. I have also worked as a babysitter, a camp counselor (where I helped to teach dance and other artistic classes), and a Childwatch Attendant at my local YMCA. I've worked with children and teaching essentially my whole life. It is something I'm very good at and enjoy doing.

I got top scores on my reading and writing portions of the SAT and ACT, including a 36 out of 36 in writing and a 34 out of 36 in English on the ACT. I won an award for poetry in high school. I recently finished my first novel, part one of my trilogy, and am working on getting it published. Finally, this past school year I have worked as a tutor for students who are learning English as their second language.

I absolutely love teaching and working with each unique student, so I encourage you to message me if you are interested in having me as your tutor or if you have any questions. I am very easy to reach and always respond as quickly as possible. I will be able to work with students from late May to early August, and I am very excited to begin tutoring students!
