Graduate student who is prepared to tutor

Isaac S.
I am a College graduate who majored in philosophy and math. I have also received a masters in math. I am currently a math Ph.D. candidate at Penn State.

For the past couple of years I have been tutoring college, post-high school and high school students in logic, set theory, epistemology, metaphysics, modal logic, philosophy of law, algebra 1 and 2, calc 1, 2 and 3. Advanced calc 1 and 2, modern algebra, ACT, SAT and many other subjects. I've also taught for a couple of years in high school...

Differential Equations,
#### Differential Equations

I have taken a differential equations class, a elliptical partial differential equations (graduate class), advanced calc classes and I'm currently taking a chaos theory class. Also, in a network science class I used mathematica to numerical solve differential equations involved in the SIS model for the spread of disease. Currently I'm writing a paper on fixed points, which have a lot to do with solving differential equations. I have also tutored students in the subject.

Discrete Math,
#### Discrete Math

I have taken a graduate class on network science and I have read a lot about graph theory. I am also currently doing research (with a professor) on different topics in topology and fixed point theorems and most of what I'm doing involves some application of Sperner's lemma, which is a combinatorial problem in geometry (we are hoping to publish). I'm also currently taking a class on computability theory (graduate class) and I have taken two classes on logic, one class on set theory and a class on probability theory, which involves combinatorics. (I have also taken a class on abstract algebra).

Linear Algebra,
#### Linear Algebra

I have taken many classes relevant to linear algebra, including linear algebra, modern algebra 1 and 2, and advanced calculus 1 and 2. I have helped many students in advanced calculus and modern algebra. I am a graduate student at Yeshiva University majoring math.

Logic,
#### Logic

I have taken three college classes in logic, one in propositional and predicate logic, the second in advanced logic (modal logic and completeness and soundness) and the third in axiomatic set theory. I have also taken two classes in real real analysis, a subject which requires some logic. I have been tutoring college students for the past two years in all of these subjects. My methods of teaching involve building a strong intuition for how proofs are done in logic and going through as many problems as I can.

## Great tutor

I came in with not much knowledge on advanced calculus 2 and he helped tremendously. Knows his stuff well and can also break complex things down into simple understandable concepts. Would recommend him to anyone.

## Amazing, smart tutor

Isaac is an amazing and smart tutor who really understands the material well, explains it slowly and carefully and works through problems with great thoroughness. He is an amazing calc 1 teacher and he clearly loves the subject.

## Great, thorough and insightful

Isaac helped me with a proof for batman equations for radioactive decay. I struggled with understanding the notation used and how to keep track of the indexing and manipulate terms. While it was a long and tedious problem, Isaac went along to explain and solve the problem fully. I've gained some insight on how to tackle problems like this. I'm happy for the lesson.
