Albright College (Applied Psychology)
Immaculata University (Master's)
Duquesne University (in process) (PhD)
As a graduate of Albright University and Immaculata University and perusing opportunities to study at the doctoral level, I have found myself and my peers in situations like you where help has been needed to better understand a subject or topic. I use the resources from these situations as well as from my mentors, former tutors and peers to help others reach their educational and academic goals
I graduated from Albright College with High Honors, and attained a B.S. in Applied Psychology and Organizational Behaviors. I have recently graduated from Immaculata University with my M.A. in Counseling Psychology. I am currently enrolled as a Ph.D. Student at Duquesne University in the Counselor Supervision and Education program Professionally, I currently teach at Immaculata University, working with Graduate Students, at Albright College teaching Undergraduate Students and practice as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor where I work with children and adolescents in their pursuits for a full and successful personal and academic life. Over the past 5 years of schooling, I've had the opportunity to coach students through classes, to prep them for tests and exams, and to help them complete research projects. Much like in my clinical practice, when tutoring, I believe that the students already possess the power to understand subjects an concepts. It is the job of the tutor to help the student uncover and become aware of their academic potential. Once a student's attains a high level of academic self-efficacy and have effective study skills, they can accomplish any educational goal they wish.
I look forward to working with you to help reach your educational and academic goals. He modeled as well as provided hands on learning in regard to the assignment. He followed through with providing me what we had reviewed via email. He partnered with me and was understanding and helpful.
Ryan is a great tutor. He is very intelligent and knows exactly what the person needs. I needed help with a research project and he made everything seem so simple when things seemed complex. He is patient and very time efficient. I thought I would need about 4 hours for one day and I only ended up needing a hour. I highly recommend this tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
