My scores on the SAT and ACT were perfect (2400 and 36 respectively), though I too had to work hard to get there, so I know what it's like when you're just starting out.

Over the years, I've worked with students suffering from ADD, autism, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, speech disorders, and depression; I personally grew up inured to social anxiety, so I can always empathize.

Some tutors will tell you that they know all the tricks and shortcuts. But really, there are no tricks. No shortcuts. Just hard work and sleepless nights and talking to yourself while brushing your teeth in the morning trying to remember the quadratics formula.

*****************************************************

I have a decade of experience and a vast collection of study materials that I can share with you for free. I've had the privilege to help hundreds of students with everything from Creative Writing to Calculus, not to mention the GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, ASVAB, and AP and SAT II subject tests, like Literature, Statistics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry as well.

I absolutely love writing, of course, so I can also teach you how to write an action scene or listen to a poem.

*****************************************************

Studying is serious business. We will write essays. We will analyze passages. We will laugh in the face of all that is boring about standardized tests, because analytical reading and writing can be a lot of fun, actually.

Ultimately, my paradigm as a teacher will always be to make myself progressively unnecessary.

Great Teacher!

Excellent tutor for essay editing

Simeon is an excellent tutor who has helped me with essay editing. He will work with you together to edit the essay and brainstorm ways to express ideas in the best way possible. He has a way with words and makes the essay sound smooth with no redundancy. He checks for the flow of ideas, grammar, structure, etc. I highly recommend him if you are looking for someone to help edit your essay!

Incredible All Around Tutor -- ACT Score Boost

During the Summer of 2017, I reached out to Simeon with the goal of boosting my ACT score. Initially, I made a 25 Composite on my first practice test. My goal was to make a 32+ Composite, so I knew that I had a long way to go. When Simeon and I started working together, I'll admit that I struggled a bit. However, I continued to grit through the problem-types that were constantly tripping me up, and shortly thereafter I saw my Composite score approach a 30! After a few more months of working with Simeon, I got to the point where I was consistently scoring in the 33-34 Composite range and thus decided to take the official exam. The result: a 33 Composite (36 E 34 M 33 R 27 S (I more or less just ran out of steam toward the end))! I couldn't recommend Simeon or his approach any more if I tried! Initially, I struggled with Math and Science more than anything else. However, Simeon was able to explain Math concepts in a way that were able to stick. And the Science strategies he equipped me with helped me fly through the section, improving my score dramatically (I went from making a 21 on Science to making a 34 -- I didn't do my best with Science on test day, but that one's on me). As a perfect ACT scorer and Harvard grad, Simeon is able to explain literally every single ACT concept in a clear and concise way to help his students best understand the material. If you're looking to supercharge your ACT score, look no further than Simeon! Not to mention, he's one of the nicest guys I've ever met. I will forever be in debt to him and all of his incredible help!

Just what my daughter needed!

She went from a 22 to a 27 on her ACTs with Simeon's help. He's got the right approach for her. Together they focus in on the areas she needs the most help with. I'd highly recommend him.

Knowledgeable and helpful tutor

He is a very enthusiastic and intelligent tutor with lots of experience, and he is also a comical person who makes the session interesting. In my first session, he went over and taught me helpful concepts for the SAT Math and English. He also showed me new things on the essay portion of the SAT. Overall, he was very helpful, and I enjoyed my first session with him.
