About Aaron

I taught high school science, mostly physics, for five years before making the decision to further my education and pursue a graduate degree in physics. As graduate student, I taught lab sections of introductory physics at the university level. I continue to teach introductory college physics courses in community college.

My goal as a teacher is to guide students on their path to understanding the world in terms of scientific principles. Models, analogies, and curiosity-driven experiences uncover the underlying order and provide a basis for discovery in my classes. Ultimately I aim to awaken within all of my students the confidence that they will achieve their goals.

I chose to get into teaching as a profession because I wanted to share my passion for science with my students, and I wanted to challenge them to think critically and creatively about the world we all live in. My practice reflects a consistently high expectation of my students and of myself. I have the knowledge and ability to guide students toward an understanding of challenging scientific concepts.
