Hi! My name is Mark. I am an electrical engineer with 31 years of experience in the Department of Defense. I have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, and a Master of Engineering in Engineering Science both from the Pennsylvania State University.

I have taught at local colleges and tutored a variety of subjects including mathematics, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, electronics, physics and information technology

I welcome the opportunity to provide tutoring to students in all levels of education. My expertise areas are mathematics, science, engineering and computers. I have the ability to explain even the most difficult problems in plain English that even a novice can understand.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

AutoCAD

I have worked with computer aided design and developed engineering documentation using AutoCAD for over 25 years. In fact, I used computer aided design as part of my job even before AutoCAD existed. My employer updates AutoCAD application software on a yearly basis, so I am experienced in all versions up to and including 2012.

Electrical Engineering

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering as well as a Master of Engineering degree in Engineering Science both from the Pennsylvania State University. I have been employed as an electrical engineer with the US Army for over 27 years.

Microsoft Outlook

I have used e-mail software such as Microsoft Outlook since the Government started using e-mail in the early 1990s. I am familiar with all versions of Outlook and use it on a daily basis as part of my job working for the Army. I am considered an resident expert in all Microsoft Office products.

Microsoft Project

I have used project scheduling and resource software such as Microsoft Project since the Government started using it as a standard scheduling tool. I use it on a daily basis as part of my job working for the Army. I am considered an resident expert in all Microsoft Office products.

Microsoft Windows

I have used Microsoft Windows operating systems since the Government started using them in the early 1990s. I use it on a daily basis as part of my job working for the Army. I am considered an resident expert in all Microsoft operating systems, and am frequently consulted by coworkers, friends, and family. I am well-versed in all Windows versions from 3.1.1 through Windows 7.
