My name is Brendan and I am a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. I recently graduated high school as a High Honor Roll student in the National Honors Society and Mu Alpha Theta Honors Society (the United States mathematics honor society for high school and two-year college students). My name is Brendan and I am a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. I recently graduated high school as a High Honor Roll student in the National Honors Society and Mu Alpha Theta Honors Society (the United States mathematics honor society for high school and two-year college students). After graduating in the top 10% of my class in high school, I was awarded the REB Commuter Scholarship for my current college, granting me full tuition.
Math has always been a subject that I have excelled at. I took both Algebra I Honors and Algebra II Honors in grades 8 and 10 respectively, finishing with an A+ for both of these classes. In 11th grade, I took Trigonometry and Statistics Honors and earned an A+ in both courses. Finally, in 12th grade, I took AP Calculus AB and AP Physics C, ending with a final grade of 100% for both of these classes. I would go on to take the AP Calculus AB Exam in the spring of 2021 and score a 5.
In the fall of 2020, I took 2 SAT tests and had a composite score of 1480 (composed of a Math score of 760 and a Writing score of 720). With the information still fresh in my mind, I am confident that you will excel after learning my test taking techniques and tips.
Tutoring my classmates in these subjects throughout high school has strengthened my passion for Math. I am determined to use that experience to help you succeed. My goal is to support my students as much as possible and make sure they fully grasp the material. As a student myself, I know the struggles of trying to understand new topics while being frustrated with harder questions. I believe that individualizing a student’s learning is the best way to help them grow. To do this, I will make sure to go at your pace and let you actively engage in the material.
I will try to respond to messages as soon as possible. Thank you for reaching out to me!
