I am currently a student at the University Of Pittsburgh, and am majoring in Computer Science. Through my experiences in high school, I have experienced a variety of teachers and subjects, and learned what teaching strategies were most effective for helping me succeed. By applying these strategies, I was able to achieve the scores mentioned below.

In high school, I took both the SAT and the ACT. In regards to the SAT, I received a total score of 1480, with a SAT Math sub-score of 740 and a SAT Reading and Writing sub-score of 740. At the time I took the SAT, the 1480 put me in the 99th percentile, and I would be happy to help students achieve their goal scores. I also did very well on my PSAT, earning a score that qualified me to be a National Merit Scholarship Finalist. On the ACT, for the ACT English section and ACT Reading section I received a 35.

I also did several Advanced Placement Classes in high school. I took AP Physics 1 and AP United States History and received a 5, and through my preparation learned valuable techniques for two very different subjects. I also took AP Biology, AP World History, AP Human Geography, and AP Language and Composition and received a 4 on each exam. Through my experiences with AP I learned what study strategies worked and what didn't, and I would be happy to pass the knowledge I acquired on to you.

In regards to ESL and GED, I volunteered this past semester with Goodwill for their GED classes, and was a teaching assistant for one of their life sciences class. I worked with many students who struggled with english, and learned ways to remove the language barrier and help the students succeed.
