I received high A's throughout the year in Algebra 2, and have already tutored students in this subject, so I have plenty of experience.

I am a pre-med student and am highly passionate about these subjects. I am constantly expanding my knowledge of biology and genetics by reading research articles in these subjects, and this shows my interest and devotion to the field of science.

I am a two-time national qualifier in the National Speech and Debate Association in Extemporaneous Speaking, and I enjoy giving talks to local high school and middle school students about public speaking abilities and tactics.

Feel free to reach out with any questions about tutoring! We can coordinate a schedule for weekly sessions through email/text correspondence.

Public Speaking

I am a sophomore at Carnegie Mellon University majoring in Computer Science. I competed in Extemporaneous Speaking for 6 years in high school (7-12th grade). In my sophomore year, I started teaching middle school extemporaneous speaking to 6-8 grade students, and in my junior year, I taught high school students (mainly 9-10th grade). In the summer of my senior year, I hosted a summer camp for extemporaneous speaking through the Pittsburgh Forensics Institute, where I taught middle and high school students from different school districts about public speaking, politics, and the extemporaneous speaking style. In my high school career, I have competed in an average of 10 tournaments per year (almost all locals and 2-3 national tournaments per year). In most of the local tournaments, I placed in the top 5 for the tournament, averaging at 2nd place. I qualified for Catholic Forensics League (CFL) Nationals (first in the region), and National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) Nationals (2nd in the state). I made it to the semifinals at NSDA's in my junior and senior years. In CFLs, I made it to quarterfinals in my junior year and semifinals in my senior year. I consider myself very qualified to teach in this subject as I have had experience in a variety of aspects of public speaking, politics, and improving skills.
