I graduated from my undergraduate college at Case Western Reserve University with a cumulative GPA of 4.00 out of 4.00 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. I have extensive tutoring experience starting from my senior year of high school till post-graduation during my gap year before entering medical school. My expertise lies in all of the basic sciences. As a private tutor, I have tutored students to success in the SATs, SAT Subject Tests (Physics, Math, Chemistry) and AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics. During my time as an undergrad, I taught active-learning review sessions for advanced biochemistry courses as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for peer students. My approach to understanding science lies in understanding fundamental concepts over rote memorization. This will help reinforce difficult material and empower you to problem solve more difficult problems that you may come across. My main philosophy in teaching is emphasizing active-learning skills such as utilizing the principles of "teach-back," which means only when students are able to teach others the concept have they truly mastered the subject.

My expertise lies in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Physics (Mechanics and E&M) and Anatomy. I am also available to help in MCAT studying and preparation. Having recently been a pre-med myself, I know the particular struggles of trying to get into medical school. But, at the same time, I know what it takes to get in. In this capacity, I am open to having a mentorship role for those interested in pursuing a career in medicine.
