Indiana University of PA (Nursing and French)
I graduated cum laude from IUP with my BS in Nursing and minor in French this May. Though I am not a certified/licensed teacher, I have had experience teaching various subjects in different environments with students of all ages.
I was a Sunday school teacher at a local church for several years. During my undergrad, I would meet with students to help them with French grammar/vocabulary.
I would also be contacted to proofread my peers' papers. I love tutoring because I love helping people reach their unseen potential. Teaching comes naturally to me. I believe greatness and untapped change can only be released through the power of knowledge and education.
All English-related subcategories have always been my strong suit. I love reading and helping others express large ideas with large words. I've taken French for four years in high school & for three years in college. Last summer, I studied abroad in the south of France taking B2 (intermediate-advanced) classes. For one year, I was president of my university's French club (VP the year before).
As president of French club, I organized and planned a variety of events, meetings, and cultural activities, delegated and distributed tasks among other officers, and I promoted the French language and culture across the campus community. Before the midterm and final exams, I would hold large review sessions with an estimated 30 students for both French 102 & French 201 (college level) courses, receiving positive feedback and appreciation from both the attendees and the professors.
I'm very open minded and love learning about people. I've worked with youth at a local church for several years and I presently work and interact with people of ALL ages as a nurse. Currently, I don't have a fixed schedule since I work rotating shifts as a nurse. I graduated cum laude from IUP with my BS in Nursing and minor in French this May. Though I am not a certified/licensed teacher, I have had experience teaching various subjects in different environments with students of all ages.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
