University of Pittsburgh (Electrical Engineering and Physics)
My name is Bryan. I'm a Physics major at the University of Pittsburgh. I tutored professionally at CCAC as a math and physics tutor for 2 years and am now enrolled full time at Pitt. I can tutor mathematics from basic arithmetic and algebra up through Calculus 3, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra. I can also tutor any level of high school and 1st year undergraduate Physics, including honors level university mechanics and electricity and magnetism. I currently live in the Mt. Lebanon/Dormont area but can travel distances by bus to Oakland/Shadyside/Squirrel Hill if need be.
If you live in a location close to Mt. Lebanon and would like to receive my services I may ask you to commute a short ways to a public location in Mt. Lebanon since I am limited by how far I can travel.
I'm friendly and open with my students and tend to loosen them up with my personality quite easily. I have a sense of patience that few can rival that I sharpened with my years working in healthcare. Above all else, I take pride in helping people, and am willing to help anybody willing to put in the work to better themselves. My name is Bryan. I'm a Physics major at the University of Pittsburgh. Bryan was very helpful. Found ways to connect with me to help me with my learning style. Very knowledgeable. Very flexible in when/where to meet.
He was extremely helpful in breaking topics and questions down, both quantitatively and qualitatively for my Physics 2 course. I am going to use him for the rest of the semester.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I tutor Algebra frequently at my day job at a community college.
Received A in Calculus 1, 2, and 3. I tutored the subjects after every successive semester for the last 1.5 years. While I was in each class I often tutored my classmates as well.
I received an A in Differential Equations at the University of Pittsburgh. I have been tutoring other folks in my class for some time through the semester. I can provide transcripts and examinations upon request.
I received an A in Linear Algebra last semester.
My major is physics, and I've received A's at the level of Honors Introductory Physics at university which introduces concepts of Action Principles and the Differential Forms of Maxwell's Equations as well as Special Relativity.
