The University of Tampa (Mathematics)
The University of Pittsburgh (Graduate Coursework)
I am a graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh studying mathematics. I am a teaching assistant and have taught many calculus classes at the university. In doing so I understand the difficulty of college classes and the expectations teachers have for there students. I graduate from the University of Tampa with a B.S. in Mathematics. During my educational career I have received an A in every mathematics course I have taken, giving me a 4.0 GPA in my major. I also did very well on my SATs, getting an 800 in the math portion of the test. I am willing and able to tutor in most if not every mathematics class taught at the undergraduate college level or below. I am also able to tutor in some specific graduate mathematics courses upon request. When I tutor students, I utilize their homework and/or course book to give them problems to do. While watching the student work out the problem alone, I am able to see exactly which concepts he/she struggles in and can then instruct them on how to solve that particular problem and others that are similar. This is how I am able to ensure that each student has the tools to pass their assignments and test.

We were in a pinch. My daughter had a big test the next day. I called Daniel right after school and he was at my house within the hour. He was helpful and made her feel confident and comfortable with taking the test. We really appreciated him getting to us so fast and all the helpful hints in Algebra 2. Thanks Daniel
Dan was very enthusiastic. Math truly appears to be his calling. He was very patient and engaging with our son. We would highly recommend him as a Math Tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been a TA for all levels of Calculus at the University level. I have helped many students understand and work through common problems that they may have in the subject and have helped prepare them for future classes and exams.
I have taken Differential Equations at the college level and have received a 100 in the class. While in the class I helped many of my fellow class mates pass the class and understand what was being taught. I am very capable of tutoring this subject and making sure that you understand it well enough to get an A in the class,
I have taken Linear Algebra at the college level and have received an A in the class. While taking this class I made it an honors course so I could learn more about the subject, things my fellow students did not get the chance to learn. Since I am a Mathematics major and all math builds on itself, I continually use what I have learned in Linear Algebra everyday.
