My teaching skills were refined as a teaching assistant for the Stanford Biology Department. This included teaching the core physiology curriculum to 42 students in weekly sections, grading assignments, editing problem sets, and hosting weekly morning office hours to aid students with their learning. I was given the freedom to develop my own teaching style when condensing longer lectures into weekly hour-long reviews.
My commitment to teaching resulted in being honored with the Excellence in Teaching Award, which was given to 10 of the 110 teaching assistants working for Stanford's Biology Department. I am passionate about translating this expertise towards refining students' skills and helping them to earn an improved score on the MCAT exam.
