Hello! My name is Will and I am a 26 years old elementary education tutor. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Penn State University. I spent my last two years teaching at Roberto Clemente Middle School in Philadelphia, PA. While there, I taught all 4 core subjects (English, Math, Social Studies, Science), and used my TESL-certified background to assist many Spanish-speaking students. I have a great understanding of the content matter, and I am able to teach it in a way that is exciting, relatable, and useful to the student.

I have experience working with a wide variety of demographics and cultures, including teaching experiences in Tanzania, Ecuador, and with many different cultural and ethnic groups. I received my ESL certification through a certification program that cumulated in the teaching of five week ESL course in Cuenca, Ecuador, and I have also taught in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Additionally I have a great deal of experience working with native Spanish speaking students. Through teaching and traveling, I have gained invaluable experience that make me an effective ESL tutor.

I love teaching and tutoring for many reasons, first and foremost is the impact I can have on students. Watching as students grow and evolve is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It is my hope to pass along the knowledge that I have gained to the next generations, so that they can find individual success and contribute to our society at-large. What excites me specifically about tutoring is the extended opportunity to work closely with individual students and learn what makes each student unique, and using tailoring each lesson to what will be most powerful to the student.
