Hello, Everyone! I am a friendly, patient, and compassionate college professor with more than 15 years experience teaching Political Science, American Government, and History face-to-face in classroom settings at Philadelphia-area colleges and universities.

Even as a young child, I was always fascinated by how Politics and Government worked and was known as a true History "buff". Fortunately, I was able to expand on this initial interest and knowledge throughout my high school, college, and graduate school years and am now a highly-rated college professor in these fields of study. Teaching Political Science, Government, and American History at the college level gives me immense self-satisfaction knowing that my students are learning essential and meaningful information about our country, its history, and our government - especially in these highly-charged times. As I always remind my students, "Become aware, become informed, and become involved!"

As a college professor, I also have had the opportunity to privately tutor many of my foreign-born students who need assistance with Reading and/or writing the English language, often as they prepare to take the U.S. Citizenship test (USCIS). I thoroughly enjoy teaching the complexities and challenges of English Grammar, especially to those students for whom English is their second language (ESL). English is a very precise language and learning its many nuances will help students of all ages and backgrounds to better communicate - both in speech and in writing - at the highest possible level and for their greatest future success.

I have been an avid reader since childhood, an enthusiasm that continued through my academic years and is an integral part of my professional life. I am happy to provide tutoring assistance in developing excellent reading skills, a higher level of reading comprehension, and an overall greater appreciation of reading.

I am a native-born English-speaking college professor with an outstanding command of English language and grammar. I have written and proofread numerous papers, articles, and dissertations, and I would be happy to tutor any English language student - middle school through college, pre-teen through adult - to help them learn proper English as their primary or secondary language.

As a college professor, I have taught American Politics & Government and U.S. History for more than 15 years. Many of my students have been from foreign (mainly Southeast and Southwest Asian) countries and are thrilled to attend college here in the United States. In fact, a number of these students have wanted to pursue American citizenship - and I have been happy to help. Fortunately, the subject matters and topics in my courses form a strong foundation for the 100-question Civics Test, while my college-level semester papers provide ample opportunity for the students to hone their English language reading and writing skills for the Reading Test and Writing Test segments of the naturalization exam. In addition, I have downloaded all the procedures and resources from the UCSIS' website so that I can properly tutor each student on a step-by-step basis and fully prepare them to pass.
