SAT Math

General class info/outline (can be adjusted based on student's individual needs): The SAT is much more about the details and sorting through the information in the questions and making the connections to the right strategies. The actual math is not too difficult but it is easy to fall into the traps. I will review the likely traps within each topic. I have also formulated easy strategies for a variety of the topics such as a simpler method to approaching sector area/arc length problems for example. We will start with 2 diagnostic tests which I will review and use to formulate a lesson plan. From there we will cover the details on the necessary topics including calculator use when applicable. During these classes I will go over the important concepts and the best approach/strategies to the different problem types and expect my students to have detailed notes on each topic we review. I will also provide review problems during class so we can practice applying the strategies together. Finally I end class by summarizing the concepts/strategies covered and assign homework on the topics covered in class. At the beginning of each class we will review the homework assigned at the end of the previous class. ACT Math

It is however much more straightforward than the SAT and a calculator is permitted for the entire math section.
