I have been teaching students drawing since my senior year at Penn. I love working with clients to figure out how I can help them achieve their learning goals. Every student experience has been unique, and I tailor my teaching style to the client. I have helped train both curious newcomers to drawing as well as dedicated individuals looking to apply to art school, and have also assisted the portfolio process for hopeful college applicants.

I graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts with a Certificate in Drawing, where I took classes in fundamentals as well as animal drawing, artistic anatomy, and traditional printmaking and sculpture.
I then completed a coordinate BFA at the University of Pennsylvania where I took classes in art history and other topics, including the sciences which informed my art. I also took a series of Art History courses as part of my degree, and specialized in Northern Baroque Painters and Ancient Mesopotamian Art.
For a first lesson I'd like to get to know my new student and learn what it is they're hoping to learn. I like to see some art they've done before, either in a school setting or on their own. Doodling, paint n' sip, and copying all count! I teach line drawing and pencil shading for almost any subject you're interested in. I also have experience teaching painting, pastels, and clay sculpture.
