I have been a tutor for math since my 9th grade. I have tutored 200+ hours in high school math (pre-algebra to calculus 2) and 100+ hours in collegian math (business calculus to differential equations). I have my undergraduate degree in secondary education and am certified to teach 7-12 mathematics (Pennsylvania). I also have my Master of Science in Mathematics. My goal, as a tutor, is to help a student understand how and why they work through a procedure so that they will be better prepared as independent thinkers when faced with a new problem during an exam or in future classes.

I have learned over the past 8+ years how to understand how a student thinks through a problem. By understanding how the student thinks, I am able to shift their thinking from where they are to where they need to be. Many teachers will try to force a student to learn the way the teacher understands the materials, but my goal as a tutor is to teach the student materials based off of the students current knowledge and their thinking patterns.
