Hello! My name is Hyunil and I'm a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania. I graduated from high school as salutatorian with a 4.97 GPA and a perfect ACT score. Now I attend an Ivy League institution where I am majoring in Materials Science and Engineering and minoring in Engineering and Entrepreneurship. My philosophy is that practice and engagement are the most important parts of learning. Whenever I teach, I always bring a level of enthusiasm and actively try to get the student to engage with the material.
I have a wide variety of tutoring experience. Currently I'm working as a Teaching Assistant where I teach college students. I help them with lab work, calculations, and creating writing drafts. I also have half a year's worth of SAT test prep tutoring. I worked one-on-one with my students and taught them test taking strategies for all sections of the SAT. Overall, I helped them improve their scores by over 250 points. My teaching methods emphasized practice where students would work on problems by themselves and with me so that I could help them identify patterns in problems and ways to approach them.
