I’m Rabie! I am currently an assistant professor (post-doc) in the mathematics department of Temple University. In 2014, I graduated with high distinction and double bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Applied Mathematics, in addition to a minor in Operations Research. I have recently finished graduate school, earning a PhD in Mathematics.

During my time as a student, I have encountered many types of professors and teachers. I know how different approaches work for different students, and I always appreciated teachers who were able to customize their teaching style based on their student’s needs.

I have 5+ years of teaching experience as a graduate student. In those years, I taught advanced and freshman college Math classes, and spent 100+ hours at a drop-in tutoring centre. In December 2019, I was awarded the Outstanding Instructor Award from the college of science and technology at Temple University.

I can teach mathematics at any level, from middle school topics to rigorous advanced proof-based courses. I also specialize in tutoring for standardized tests, like the SAT, GRE or the Actuarial science exams.

I am very enthusiastic about helping students as much as possible and would really welcome any feedback you have about my tutoring style. I am easy to reach and will always provide fast responses. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson!

Great teacher!

Rabie is a great teacher! He breaks the methods and concepts down to simple steps which has made everything a lot more understandable. I was struggling with calculus 1 from the get go, but after working with Rabie consistently each I’ve been a lot more comfortable in class. I got a 97 on my first exam and feel that I will do the same on the next exam coming up soon! I would highly recommend!

Knowledgable and kind tutor

Rabie taught me how the basics of MATLAB and how to code and graph mathematical summation functions in MATLAB. He was very helpful and able to explain everything I was unclear about when I asked questions. He also stopped consistently to make sure I understood what was going on. I would recommend him as a tutor for math and coding questions.

Exceptional Math/MATLAB Tutor!

Professor Rabie is an extraordinary tutor who is readily communicative, offers very flexible scheduling, and most importantly - brilliant in mathematics and MATLAB programming. His exceptional knowledge was apparent from the first lesson. It is a given that my own skills will be vastly enhanced under his tutelage. I feel most fortunate to have found Professor Rabie.

Rabie was very knowledgeable and very patient.

Rabie tutored me in my Finite Mathematics course. He was an excellent choice for me, considering the fact that I am an older adult student finishing up a second degree. I highly recommend Rabie. He is very reliable and worked extremely hard at getting me to understand Finite Mathematics. Again, I highly recommend Rabie. I will be using him again.

Knowledgeable, calm and patient tutor

Rabie is very competent and professional yet patient and friendly. He walked me through the lesson and even when I had some technical issues he was very helpful and managed to carry on. You know someone is an excellent tutor when you have that Aha moment, and suddenly you understand how things work.

Excellent Teacher

I was pressed for time and could not find a tutor to help me with my homework. I contacted Rabie and within a couple of hours we had our first session. He was patient and gave great tips along the way. I definitely feel more confident with this material. Worked on: Calculus 2 - series and sequences

A formidable, intelligent tutor

Rabie helped in all aspects of the Multivariable Calculus process, including some training in physics for acceleration and velocity problems. He provided speedy and fastidious computations to check problems. I have no doubt that any person interested in working with Rabie would fid him a helpful and learned tutor.

Knowledgeable

Rabie helped me with a Multivariable calculus assigment for my Mathematics for Economics I class, I have been struggling with this class all semester so I booked a 5 hour tutoring session with Rabie. He was quick to respond and we had an excellent session. Rabie was was full of energy and showed me various ways to solve my problem which allowed me to find a method that works for me. By the end I had a greater understanding of the assigment and could do it on my own. There were also no technical difficulties throughout the whole session. Highly recommend and I will definitely be booking another session soon.
