I recently graduated from Yale with a B.S. in biomedical engineering and will be starting my Ph.D in bioengineering at Stanford in the fall. I have 2 years of tutoring experience in many subjects, including Algebra, Calculus, Physics, MATLAB, and SAT/ACT math. I love to teach math and science and am always seeking to tutor these subjects as well as any others in which I am proficient.

Biomedical engineering is a very quantitative field of study, so I have extensive experience in many engineering math courses. Furthermore, MATLAB is one of the primary softwares used in academic biomedical research, so I am very familiar with using it for basic computation, data manipulation, and more advanced modeling and simulations.

I enjoy playing musical instruments, including guitar, bass, drums, and clarinet. I also like to powerlift and run.

I am currently open to taking new students. Please reach out to me for more information about how I can help or to schedule a session - I am looking forward to working with you!

Knowledgeable and informative

Jonathan helped me with my final project in MATLAB, it was very smooth. We were able to overcome many obstacles and worked step by step throughout the process. I was very pleased with the way he let me think through the code and helped whenever I was stuck. Even if I didn't know some of the basics or syntax he was very informative and let me know multiple options to take.

Knowledgeable and Patient Tutor

He was very knowledgeable in MATLAB and was extremely patient. I was very confused with an assignment, and he knew how to explain everything to me in a simplistic manner. I would highly recommend him.

Knows the details and great at teaching!

I had several problems and tough situations with learning about Matlab, and Jonathan really has a lot of knowledge about the programming language. His style of tutoring was absolutely great, because he doesn't just give the answers for step 1, step 2, etc., but he helps you actually understand why and how those work so that you can use those concepts in the future. Highly recommended!

Very patient Tutor

Jonathan helped me with a homework about curve fitting and statistics. My background in MATLAB is not the strongest but he was very patient and understanding making sure I correctly understand every code I was putting in.

Awesome tutor

Jonathan is an incredible tutor. He makes learning fun so even my nine year old son can stay focused during the duration of his lesson. His stellar academic and SAT scores are a testament to the depth of his knowledge. His ivy league credentials are a testimony to his desire to be the best at whatever path he chooses to tread. I would strongly recommend Jonathan as a tutor,
