Hello! I am a private tutor with 2 years of remote/in-person tutoring experience for a variety of subjects due to my experiences & academic background. My specialties are math, biology, chemistry, and ESL.

I am a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology, Chemistry minor, and certificates in Global Health and Arabic. My past tutoring experiences have included mentoring and tutoring peers in high school and college in biology, chemistry, Arabic, and math from Algebra/Pre-Calculus to Calculus 2 level. Since graduating from college, I have tutored students of all ages (grades 4-12, college-level, & adult learners) in-person and remotely in a variety of subjects including science, math, and Arabic. In the past, I have also tutored individuals of all ages from immigrant and refugee populations in multiple subjects including ESL.

Knowledgeable and patient

My daughter has had her second session with Amal and they reviewed reciprocal trig functions and trig function identities in relation to simplifying trigonometric expressions. Amal has been very helpful and my daughter appears to be retaining the information explained.
