My name is Paul and I currently live in Philadelphia. I grew up in Scranton, PA and went to college at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore. There, I majored in Biochemistry and graduated Magna Cum Laude and was on the Deans List every semester. At Loyola, I worked as a tutor in General and Organic Chemistry courses to several students, many of whom are now in either Medical or Dental school.
In addition to that tutoring through Loyola, I also tutored at Cristo Rey High School in Baltimore. There, I volunteered to help students who were struggling in their Algebra 1 and 2 courses. Through these experiences, I have learned that I immensely enjoy helping students, regardless of their background, realize both their academic dreams and potential. As a medical student now, it will be incredibly rewarding to help other students realize the dream I am living now.
I took the MCAT once did well enough to get into the 9 medical schools that I applied to.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I took the MCAT once before medical school in the summer of 2012. I scored a 30 on the exam. I received a 9 on Physical Science, a 10 on Verbal/Critical Analysis and Reasoning skills and an 11 on Biological Sciences. I used this score, along with my academic performance in college, to get into 9 different medical schools.
