I love helping students find that aha moment when everything makes sense! I taught general and special education students for 6 years in the School District of Philadelphia. Student grades ranged from 1st through 8th grade.
I also tutored elementary, middle, and high school students while working in the district. I love field hockey and have had the opportunity to coach high schooler. Math is one of my favorite subjects to teach because it's fun to manipulate numbers, but I also love to read. I read in my spare time and enjoy learning new vocabulary.
I'm currently in graduate school pursuing a doctoral degree in school psychology. While in graduate school, I've had the opportunity to continue to take education and psychology classes, as well as teach an introductory psychology class to undergraduates. I love to learn new information and help others to do the same.
I have taught and tutored elementary and middle school math. Algebra is one of my favorite subjects. While working on my master's thesis and coursework, I've had to take several statistic classes and use SPSS.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
