Composition (Music)

I received my masters in Jazz Studies from Louisiana State University. A part of that training was developing a strong understand of arranging techniques. The act of improvising and composing are very interconnected. The difference with composing is you have an eraser. Through my undergraduate and graduate training I extensively studied classical and jazz forms, a harmonies and rhythms. Since graduating I have produced an album of mostly original compositions of mine. Recordings of this music can be sent upon request.

Music Production

During my undergraduate degree at James Madison University, I received my bachelors in Music Industry. My focus in that degree was working in the recording studio and live sound reinforcement. After graduating from my master's degree I produced my debut jazz album "U Suite U". I also assist with the set up and mixing of the sound with band I regularly perform with, the Sofa Kings. Samples of my recorded music are available upon request.
