Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Criminal Justice

I have a Master's Degree of Arts in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I graduated from John Jay with honors. I lectured police recruits at a Westchester County police academy. I also lectured criminal justice students at a New York college. Additionally, I wrote almost exclusively as a full-time journalist about criminal justice issues.

Tennis

I've played tournament tennis for over 18 years in club events in both doubles and singles.
I've won and placed (second) in over a dozen events in the New York, New Jersey and Conn. areas.
I have a USTA rating from New York.
