I always had an interest in the arts and history, so after graduating with honors from Dallas Senior High School in 2008, I studied Architecture and Urban Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. After graduating from Pitt in 2012, Magna Cum Laude, I received my Master of Science in Historic Preservation at the the University of Pennsylvania in 2014, where I took courses through the School of Design, Fels Institute of Government, and the Wharton Business School.
During my time in school I had the opportunity to teach courses as teaching assistant. I also took pride in my ability to help friends and classmates with their writing and presentation skills.
Currently, I work for Heritage Consulting Group, where I consult architects and developers on historic tax credit projects.
My love for writing, art, and history has translated to my courses of study and into my career. My liberal arts background mixed with technical knowledge will help your child succeed in these areas. My goal is not only to help them grasp concepts outlined in their course material, but to teach them the methods of problem solving that I have learned in my academic career.
My undergraduate and graduate degrees required extensive writing. I wrote both an undergraduate thesis (un-required), and a graduate (required) thesis. I have published articles on an online news source that focuses on urban planning and development. I also received a perfect score on the SAT writing section.
I studied American history at the undergraduate and graduate level, and ultimately received a Master of Science in Historic Preservation. My current job requires extensive knowledge of American history, as well as research. I passed AP History with a 4 in high school.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have an undergraduate degree in Architectural Studies. I received my Master of Science in Historic Preservation from the Design School of University of Pennsylvania.
I currently work for a consulting firm that specializes in historic rehabilitation projects.
During my undergraduate and graduate education I was required to submit architectural drawings both by hand and in AutoCAD.
I also used AutoCAD during my time as project manager at Finished Edge Design while drafting construction drawings for rehabilitation projects.
I still use AutoCAD and review architectural drawings regularly.
