I've always had a passion for learning and discovering as much as I can. As an honors graduate fro both my bachelor's and master's degrees, I always value my experience in the classroom. I've taught full time in the science classroom for three years now and I've happily continued this learning through my own teaching. I am continually driven by helping my students tackle an academic challenge and to see their own growth. As a tutor in middle school science and SAT prep, I love seeing this growth 1:1 as well!
Since I have taught for 3 years already as a middle school science teacher, I love assisting students with the academic areas of Life, Earth, and Physical Science. I push my students every single day in the classroom, while still making the material accessible and interesting! As a potential tutor for your student, I would incorporate the same balance and engagement I use every day in my classroom.
I have my own transportation and would be more than happy with driving to your own to conduct the tutoring sessions that would help your student become more successful in learning and growth. I want to seek continuous improvement as a tutor, so if you are not completely satisfied with an appointment please notify Wyzant.

I hold a History degree from the University of Pittsburgh where I graduated Magna Cum Laude

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
