Temple University (MEd)
I am second-year graduate student in Temple University. My major is counseling. I am a smart, reliable and easygoing person. I can get along with others quickly. I was born in China and Chinese is my native language. I like teaching and I have passed the Chinese Teaching Certificate exam. When I was in high school, I majored in arts, which included Chinese history, Chinese politics, and Chinese geography. I am also good at Chinese calligraphy. I write every character nicely no matter if they are simple Chinese words or traditional Chinese words.
I have experience in China tutoring math. I always have my own style and methods, which are very helpful. I am good at thinking from students' perspectives. I prefer to teach them how to learn not just what they want to learn. I respect every student and can accept different opinions. I did a practicum as a teaching assistant too. From that experience, I learned how to find productive solutions for students encountering problems academically.
As a Chinese tutor, I can offer you the best service to learn Chinese. You will get how to pronounce a Chinese word, how to be quickly remember it, and how to write it nicely, etc. I sincerely welcome everyone who is interested in Chinese. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
