My name is Kimberly and I am very enthusiastic in being your tutor . My passion for teaching stems from my inquisitive nature. I have a Biology Degree with a minor in Chemistry from Florida State University. I received a Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Health Science with an emphasis in Biochemical and Pharmacologic Principles from Drexel University College of Medicine. I have tutored Biology and Microbiology up to the graduate level.
I taught Chemistry honors and Earth science honors at the high school level, and I have tutored various ages ranging for elementary to the graduate level. I enjoy helping students with scientific concepts in a manner that is engaging and leads to a true understanding. I have also excelled in many other subjects such as history, writing composition, and math. I am willing to provide tutoring in those areas as well. I will make sure that I am prepared for each lesson and require that I have the study topic a day in advance. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
