I am very enthusiastic about the opportunity to tutor Spanish, ESL, or Math. Language learning is imperative in an increasingly globalized world and provides many opportunities. I am very enthusiastic about the opportunity to tutor Spanish, ESL, or Math. Language learning is imperative in an increasingly globalized world and provides many opportunities. Math is important for students no only on standardized test, but importantly to understand the world around them as numbers are both explicitly obvious and implied in so much that we do. Both of the subjects are very important but I know it is easy to be discouraged by both subjects and I want to make sure that the students I tutor do not feel that way.

As a Spanish minor in college and after studying abroad in a Spanish speaking country, I have learned from first-hand experience the value and challenge of learning a language. Currently, I am a math teacher and have experience working with upper elementary school students. When I tutored in the past, and when I teach now, I seek to keep lessons fun by keeping them relevant to the world around us. I also seek to make sure that students are learning both what they want to and what they need to learn to be successful. As an ESL and Spanish tutor in college, I worked on conversation about everyday topics as well as formal grammar instruction. As a math teacher, I teach so my students can see many different ways to I seek for students to figure out their own mistakes through prompting and thinking through their process for math and meaning in language.
