Bio

I'm a law student at Penn, and I've been tutoring students for the past nine years, focusing on the SAT, ACT, statistics, economics, and writing, mostly for high school to post-graduate students. I have a Masters degree from Yale (Public Health) and a Bachelors degree from Brown (Political Science). At Yale, I was a Teaching Fellow and instructed students in several courses.

What is most important to me is the success of my students, and I can stand by my results. On the ACT, I have had students improve from a 19 to 27, 23 to 29, and 30 to 34, and many of my SAT students have increased their scores by hundreds of points.

For class-based work, I have helped students through everything from introductory microeconomics to advanced statistics. In this, I work with students to develop an individualized curriculum which matches their needs. This customized curriculum allows students to improve efficiently and with much less frustration.

I am always happy to answer questions, and please feel free to reach out if you have any.

Enthusiastic and Knowledgeable

Is more than willing to pick up the speed and breeze through topics or slow down and break something down when it makes zero sense. He has a ridiculous knowledge of everything he teaches, and he will incorporate real-life examples to make anything make sense. Lots of energy, and while it can be slightly disconcerting at first for an introvert, he makes it work and you will find that it makes the subject at hand less intimidating. Very nice guy, and a better teacher. 10/10 would recommend.

Great tutor for micro Econ

We went through practice questions for my micro economics midterm. Taylor explained the topics I was having trouble with very clearly and helped me prepare for the test.

Trustworthy, knowledgeable

Having already had a full SAT group course over the summer, our son needed to go over just a few things that were tripping him up on the SAT. We asked Taylor to go over those concepts and set him up to study and work on SAT prep on his own for the next month. We agreed on two tutoring sessions. Two sessions (four hours) later Taylor had Nick feeling more confident to work on his own. We will definitely hire Taylor again if needed after the March SAT. Thank you Taylor.

Tip and Strategies

Taylor met with my daughter pre-'New' SAT and was able to boost her confidence with a few time-saving tips and strategies to raise her ability further for a successful outcome. We won't see the outcome for weeks but, my daughter commented, Taylor helped me in ways you don't find in the books. This is also after a few meetings with alternate tutors. Thank you Taylor!

Knowledgeable, Experienced, and Detail Oriented

My daughter was very excited and motivated after meeting with Taylor for the first time. She strongly feels that he is very knowledgeable, experienced and detailed oriented and will help her accomplish her SAT goals. Thanks Taylor for the lesson! My child did have prior lessons with other tutor but did not have this positive experience and now she is very happy and looking forward to meeting him each week.

Excellent tutor for Stats

Taylor worked with my daughter in her college statistics Course. She has been struggling in the course and the professor has not done a good job at teaching the material. Taylor was extremely helpful and was able to teach the information in a way that made sense. Great session and will be meeting again!

Reliable, flexible, creative...

My daughter had two SAT tutors before Taylor. Though the first was good enough in what he was teaching her, his reliability was greatly lacking, standing my daughter up on a number of occasions. The second tutor, though very reliable for time and place, had my daughter doing tasks she easily could have done on her own, leaving her bored and uninterested. Taylor has the better qualities of these two combined. He is reliable, flexible and creative. His personality is outgoing and engaging. This is a perfect combination to keep my daughter actively absorbed in the task, and she seems to actually look forward to her sessions. What more can a parent ask? Thank you Taylor!

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Taylor taught my nephew Math, in preparation to his SAT. To quote my nephew: "I learned a lot from Taylor!" Taylor is also very professional. He lets you know about his course plans, time allotment, and approach. My nephew looks forward to his future tutoring lessons by Taylor.

Extremely helpful and knowledgable

Taylor, was great. Took the time to look over what I needed help with and demonstrated a mastery of the field of statistics.
