Hello! I am currently an medical student at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and will be graduating with my MD in May, 2023. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Ithaca College in December 2013. I have been a tutor for 9 years now for many different subjects, and I have worked with students of all levels, from elementary school through college. In addition, I've held private tutoring sessions for high school students in Algebra, Algebra II, Precalculus, SAT/ACT English and Math, and SAT II subject tests in Chemistry. I have also tutored college-level students for the GRE in Math and English. I worked in a Math Help Room at Ithaca College for 3 years where I answered math questions in a variety of subjects on a "drop-in" basis, including: Business Math, Calculus I, and Math for Decision Making. I held private and small group tutoring sessions through Academic Enrichment Services in General Chemistry I, Organic Chemistry I, and Calculus I. I have also been a teaching assistant for Gen Chem I, Gen Chem II, Gen Chem Lab, Organic Chem I, and Calc I. I am experienced with both in-person and online formats.

I am also a certified yoga teacher (RYT-200) and if you would like me to teach you a class or need tutoring for a yoga teacher training (reviewing Sanskrit, designing a class yourself, etc), I am happy to work with you!

I really love tutoring and think the best way to conquer issues in science and math is to work through problems and ask lots of questions. Usually students will either (1) come to the tutoring session ready with questions that he or she had while attempting the homework, understanding material in class, or additional practice problems--which is the best method for utilizing time--or (2) work through problems with me there and ask questions as he or she works through each question--which sometimes works better for students who have a hard time getting motivated. Either way, I'm able and willing to accommodate your needs and look forward to getting started!
