Every student I have tutored has gone up AT LEAST one letter grade and so can you!

I tutor just about any subject and am happy to help everyone. I taught AP Physics C and AP Calculus BC starting at 17 years old. I taught college algebra, statistics, and intermediate algebra at college when I was 19. When I was 20 I joined the Marine Corps and finished college while serving the country. I taught 11th grade math and physics in Tanzania for three months after being honorably discharged. After returning I took a job teaching at a local high school where I taught Algebra II, AP Calculus and AP Statistics. I went on to LSU where I taught college algebra, the calculus sequence, and differential equations while obtaining my PhD. I have guest lectured advanced mathematics courses, physics courses, and on the side even teach people to cook! I am known on every campus for being relatable and tenacious in my explanations.

When it comes to your learning, I will not stop finding new approaches until I’m certain you understand the material! It may be your job to learn, but it’s my job to get you there!

Currently I am a professor of mathematics.

Differential Equations,

Differential Equations

I received an A in undergrad Differential Equations, and received a B in graduate level differential equations I have taught Calculus and given many lead-ins to differential equations. I have tutored six people in differential equations in the past three years, all receiving a final grade of at least a B-.
Discrete Math,

Discrete Math

I am a current graduate student at Florida Gulf Coast University in Applied Mathematics. I received an A in Discrete Mathematics at FGCU. As an undergraduate, I tutored fellow classmates that were struggling in the subject, helping the class maintain a B average. I tutored two undergraduates last year in Discrete Mathematics successfully. When I tutor Discrete Math, most time is spent sitting beside a white board discussing different ways of imagining what the question is really asking. That's usually the most difficult part. Once a picture is in the students head, we go about sketching proofs on the white board and attacking the idea from different directions until it's wrestled to the ground. Lots of coffee is usually involved.
Finite Math,

Finite Math

While teaching at a high school in Florida, I was tutoring several students (some were other teachers) in finite math. I have a masters in mathematics and have taught everything from high school algebra 1 to differential equations. As a tutor I have helped many college returnees with their basic math skills, helping them redevelop their mathematical thinking and pass their classes.

Pretty good

He made things easy to understand. He used terms and method that most people would know. He also showed me a few tricks I didn't know about.
