If you are reading this you or a loved one probably need some extra help in English. No matter what your challenge is I can help. My teaching philosophy is practical as I apply basic principles and a common sense approach to help you understand any aspect of the English subject.
I have been formally educated at Villanova University majoring in English. I am currently a candidate for a Masters Degree in Education from Saint Joe's, as well as having approximately 5 years experience as a full time teacher, substitute or tutor. Before teaching I worked for various radio, television and newspapers in the advertising sales field. This has allowed me to become well versed in public speaking.
I have found that most of the time, those who need help often need to learn how to focus---this is where we start. Drawing on your individual experience, together we will overcome any obstacle(s) you may have. Confidence and hard work is all you will need and I am persistent in helping you achieve. Oh, and we'll have a little fun too!
Thank you as I look forward to working with you! Potential student:

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
My public speaking experience is varied. First, I am currently an English teacher who has experience in speaking to small and large groups. Prior to this career, I was in advertising sales which involved speaking to customers one on one, small and large groups. Lastly, one of my past hobbies was acting where I was able to fine tune these skills.
I have experience in tutoring students in study skills from middle school to high school SAT's. In addition, study skills are a part of my regular teaching experience and have been embedded in my lessons. Finally, I am currently a student studying for my Master's degree resulting in my needing to employ my own study skills.
