Hello! My name is Roshni. I am a recent graduate with a Masters in health management from Drexel University and I have an undergraduate degree in biology from New Jersey Institute of Technology. I am 23 years old and I live in Plainsboro, NJ. I have been tutoring for around 10 years now, and I have helped many elementary, middle, and high school students improve their grades in school and score better on standardized tests. I have helped people jump over 200 points on their SAT's and I have helped students place in better classes in college. Many parents have called me to thank me for the improvement that their child has made in math and especially in reading and writing in school in terms of grades and teachers' feedback. Since I have tutored kids of all ages, I can easily approach any child and determine their learning style and learning needs.
My tutoring approach would be to find out what the child's weaknesses are and how I can explain things to them better and in a language they would easily understand. For example if I can understand what a child's interests lie in, it becomes very easy for me to get them to be interested in math or English. I can then create a curriculum around that students' needs so that we go at a pace that is comfortable for the student but still keeps in mind the work the student will be doing in school alongside.
