SAT Reading,

SAT Reading

SAT reading is business reading - you're looking for specific information. Think like a test maker - there can't be any doubt or ambiguity about a correct answer, otherwise they'd be inundated by complaints. Therefore for every correct answer there must be specific information that makes it correct, and for every wrong answer there must be specific information that makes it wrong - often single words or phrases. Your job is to find that information and my job is to help you.
SAT Writing

SAT Writing

The key to understanding SAT writing is that it's a standardized test - to compare students from year to year they're testing the same rules over and over again. I can help you understand those rules and provide a blueprint for parsing the passages.

SAT Math,

SAT Math

The key to SAT math is to realize that it's a standardized test - to compare students from year to year they are testing the same rules over and over. The form of the questions may vary, but once you identify the rule that they are testing you can find how the numbers fit into the rule. I have my own material that lays out all the rules that SAT math tests, plus practice problems for each.

Professional and prepared

Gil was on time and prepared to analyze my son’s needs for the ACT. In their first meeting, Gil was able to pinpoint weaknesses and come up with a plan to help him improve his scores. He followed up with me about his assessment and plans for my son after the lesson. Very pleased!

SAT tutoring

Gil is excellent. We have used him to help both of our daughters prepare for all subjects on the SAT. He is always polite, on time, very patient and comes with a multitude of additional information that they can use to prepare. We will continue to recommend him to all of our friends.

Wonderful, Wonderful

I contacted Gilbert after taking the Revised GRE's and though I studyied from Kaplan and ETS books, I only received average scores. I knew that in order to get into graduate school that my scores would need to be much more competitive. Gilbert was willing to travel to meet me for sessions, he always came prepared with a myriad of materials to work with, and was extremely patient and thorough in his explanations. Through my work with Gilbert, I increased my scores from the 69th percentile to the 86th percentile. I am very happy with these results and found Gil to be a wonderful tutor. Thank you!
