I have a Master's degree in English and have taught remedial writing and composition at the college level for the past 19 years. Since 1991, I have been a writing instructor at Community College of Philadelphia and for the last ten years have been both a writing tutor and composition instructor at LaSalle University. During this time, I have taught students from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and a range of skill levels. Through this experience, I have developed a writing curriculum that is simple to understand and apply. As a tutor, I can teach an entire writing course, focus on a particular concept, or assist in completing a specific project. In addition, I have been involved in basic education classes for both adults and children wishing to improve their skills.I try to use my abilities to help as many who need help as I can.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
