My philosophy of education belief goes as followed:
I believe that every child has a right to learn and to be taught.
I believe that what I bring to the setting is a highly qualified education.
I believe that parents should be involved with their child's education.
I believe that learning does not have to be boring but can be fun while learning.
I believe that play is a chance for the child to release anxiety and readjust for the next round.
I believe that what a child learns today will be what helps them to be successful in the future.
I believe that when everyone works together a child can only succeed.
And most of all I believe that every child is a precious gift and needs to be treated as such. Hello, let me introduce myself, my name is Bev T. and I live in the Petrolia area. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am qualified in this subject area because I have been a substitute teacher for the last 2 years in elementary education. I also have a BA in Early childhood education and currently pursuing a ME in Elementary Education.
I have taught from K-5 and have taught everything from math, science, language arts, history, spelling, and writing.
I do embroidery on a regular bases and love working on different projects. Right now I am working on a pillow case with flowers, butterflies, ladybugs, and leaves. I have done a lot of cross stitching too. French knots, straight stitch, and full fill is some of the stitches that I can do on a regular bases.
I have sewn all of my families clothes and I have made numerous clothes of my own. I can and know how to read patterns to be able to fix material together to be able to sew the material the correct way.
