Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio, Madrid (Spain) (Translation and Int.)
Université Catholique de Paris Cluny-ISEIT (Master's)
As a Spanish native from Madrid, Spain, I am fluent in Spanish as well as in English, French, and Italian.
Languages have always been my passion, so I studied a bachelor of arts in translation and interpreting in Spanish, English, and French. During my degree I started tutoring private Spanish and English lessons, and it was when I discovered that my passion was not just for learning new languages but also for teaching them.
Next, I obtained my master's in conference interpreting; however, I kept tutoring Spanish and English, then adding French, too. During several summers I've worked in international language summer camps with teenagers in England and France.
I've traveled throughout Europe, Asia and North America, and I’ve been living in France and Italy, where I also taught Spanish as a private teacher.
My husband (who is American) and I met in Spain. He had a job opportunity to be back in the US, so we moved here in November 2011. Since then I've been tutoring students of all ages and levels in the Lehigh Valley area. I also have experience as Spanish teacher at a private school teaching 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
Regardless of your level or your needs, I'm looking forward to teaching children or adults my native language but also to share the culture from Spain. Whether you prefer focusing on conversational, grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing or comprehension aspects, you will enjoy learning the authentic Spanish language as well as learning about the dynamic lifestyle of Spain.
As a fluent French speaker and translator, I will also provide French lessons to motivated students seeking to learn or improve their French.
Looking forward to helping you to become a fluent speaker in Spanish or French! As a Spanish native from Madrid, Spain, I am fluent in Spanish as well as in English, French, and Italian.

My daughter was very happy to have Blanca as her tutor. She has been a great help! 5 Stars! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a Spanish tutor!
I have taken about six classes so far and Señora Blanca is a very helpful and patient tutor. Very engaging style of teaching and is very knowledgeable about the different Spanish speaking cultures. Really feel my grammar skills growing due to her teaching of the rules and examples. She makes it very easy to understand visually and mentally and is away encouraging. I definitely recommend Señora Blanca to anyone wishing to improve their Spanish language skills.
I was always terrible at languages in school and after three months with Blanca, I'm amazed at how quickly I'm learning and how much I'm retaining.
Blanca is a wonderful tutor and instructor!
I am from Switzerland, and my mother tongue is Italian. Out of necessity, I grew up having to study German, French, and English in school, and now that I am homeschooling my own son, I am very picky about language teaching, and I was looking for the perfect instructor for my son and myself to learn Spanish. Because Blanca turned out to be so great, I even decided to have her teach my son French as well next year - which I could teach myself, but by now I trust Blanca more than myself to do a good job.
My son would like to take the SAT or AP Spanish exam later on for college credit. I am confident Blanca will prepare him excellently. As for me, I was really interested in learning Latin America Spanish. Blanca teaches both Latin America and Spain Spanish which is a great bonus. Blanca is very friendly and patient, so if you are homeschooling your kids or if you yourself would like to study Spanish, she would be a great choice. My son and I very highly recommend her!
Very good class and tutor.
Blanca is a great tutor for those who are interested in learning Spanish or simply just enhancing your Spanish skills. When beginning my tutoring with Blanca, I entered with zero-little knowledge of the Spanish language. Blanca is very accommodating in her teaching styles, as she will adapt to want you want or need. Blanca uses the full immersion teaching style. So, she will be speaking in Spanish throughout the entire tutoring session. However, if you do not understand what she is trying to tell you, she will explain in English. In classes thus far, I have had about 7 or so, we have worked on improving my vocabulary and grammar through worksheets, reading, speaking and having homework between sessions. Blanca thoroughly enjoys teaching her native language to others and I would highly recommend her if you are looking to learn Spanish.
Blanca is a good tutor. She is very patient with my son, who picks up things pretty quickly. She is great at using all the class time to teach him. Blanca teaches my son Spanish grammar and vocabulary. If my son has a question, Blanca answers it completely. So far, she is doing an excellent job.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
