Welcome. I'm happy to have a chance to introduce myself. My name is Leslie M., and my educational background is as follows: I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master of Education in Counseling at West Chester University, West Chester, PA.
I have always loved reading, writing, and the English language. I've lectured about creative writing, taught workshops on creative writing at Bloomsburg University, Delaware County Community College, and privately at Phillips Emporium in Bloomsburg. I wrote a book which was published in 2004; a piece I wrote about my high school music teacher was selected to be published in a literary magazine in 2010.
I've lectured and taught creative writing in every setting imaginable and to all age groups. Also, at the Penn State campus in Lima, PA (in suburban Philadelphia) I tutored incoming freshmen in basic language skills at the Learning Center there.
My degree in counseling and my experiences in that field have boosted my rate of success in dealing with the many individuals I've encountered. I possess great patience and respect for all who want to learn. I am proud of this fact; I created my own system that has been quite successful in freeing up the creative flow in the individuals I've had the privilege to know.
Creative writing is important to me but I am equally interested in any other aspect of reading, writing, and/or test preparation.
