Rutgers - The State University (Biology)
University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Master's)
I am currently a graduate student at Rowan University's School of Osteopathic Medicine/ Graduate School of Biomedical Science. I am a "Dean's List" graduate at Rutgers University who studied Biological Science (also known as "Biology," with other sciences factored in, such as Chemistry, Physics, Organic Chemistry, etc.) as a major and Psychology as a minor. I have tutored students of all ages and have had past experience with children, being in Big Brothers, Big Sisters for over 8 years!
Teaching in a laid-back environment, and being an outgoing student and learner myself, I realized that mostly everyone that I have taught reached their learning potentials and abilities (while vastly improving in school) when they were instructed without the pressures of school. I am also an avid believer that the basics are everything; if a student doesn't understand the basics, they will find themselves struggling to keep up in school later on.
Being a science major and continuing my education in Biomedicine, I teach all that I am experienced in (if you need more information, check under Major requirements for Biological Science majors at Rutgers University).

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
