I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from Temple University in Middle Grades (4-8) Education. I am currently certified to teach Mathematics and Science in the state of Pennsylvania. I have a passion for math, in particular helping people learn or relearn concepts they do not understand. Many people struggle with, or simply don't enjoy math; this is one of the reasons why I love to teach it. When someone begins to comprehend a particular concept he or she was originally struggling with, everything changes! Math becomes fun and exciting, or at least doing homework isn't the worst part of the day!

My own experience with math is very similar to what I just described. In middle school, it was like a foreign language to me. I ended up getting a tutor and during our first session something clicked. My tutor explained a particular algebraic concept I did not understand to me in a different way that made sense. Since that experience, I enjoyed, and excelled in math. I have tutored and taught dozens of elementary to middle grades-aged students in fractions, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, etc. I have also tutored my peers in college classes from Basic Math to College Algebra to Calculus. I love teaching and tutoring people of all ages, with any topic, especially math!

Please contact me if you have ANY questions or would like to set something up!

Knowledgeable & Patient Teacher

My son had two sessions with Michael to specifically prepare for a quiz and Final Exam in his Algebra I class. My son went from C's and D's to B's with Michael's tutoring. Michael was agreeable to working around our schedule and was prompt for the sessions. Michael's style of teaching clearly made a difference for my son. We've already asked Michael if he would be available if my son needs help next year in Algebra II and he confirmed he can teach that level math as well! After speaking with my son about his experience with Michael, I would easily recommend Michael to anyone considering tutoring for math.
