York College of Pennsylvania (Mathematics)
Hello, and thank you for checking out my tutor profile! I am 26 years old, and have about 3 years of cumulative tutoring experience. I have tutored everyone from 8th graders trying to pass their algebra class, to senior citizens going back for their GED. I last tutored in August of 2015 as an in-home tutor for a private company, but unfortunately had to stop because the owner was having health issues and was unable to maintain the business. I am now looking to get back into tutoring as my own employer.
My tutoring strength is focused in Mathematics, which was my major at York College of PA. In addition to this, I have tutored in SAT and ACT preparation. Although Mathematics is my best subject, I am also very capable of teaching Reading, Writing, and Sciences as well. My teaching method is based around trying to relate the material to the student in any way possible. If the student can relate to the material, or can see how it can be used in day-to-day living, I believe it inspires the student to want to learn even more. That is where the real learning begins!
Not only am I knowledgeable of the material, but I can explain and demonstrate it's use in many ways. No matter the learning style of the student, I will find a way for them to understand it!
I would enjoy being able to help you out with any of your tutoring needs! I know math can be hard to understand, and I like to help out those that need it. Please feel free to contact me to learn more about me, and to set-up any lessons. Hello, and thank you for checking out my tutor profile! Ryan is kind, thorough and patient. He is concerned that my child understands the concepts before he ends the lesson. My child recently scored an 86% on a pre-Calc test after multiple failing grades without tutoring. I highly recommend Ryan.
Ryan went over the SAT questions with my daughter. If she did not understand it , he went over it and explain it to her. He is a wonderful tutor and he makes sure you understand how and why of the questions.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have helped many previous students improve their understanding of Algebra. I have my own Algebra book that relates the topic to many different fields of study, so there is always an interesting way to present the information.

Many previous satisfied parents and students!
I passed this class with a 3.5 in college while working towards my math degree. This was easily my favorite math class. The real-world use of differential equations is far-reaching, and usable in many applications.
