I am an organized and flexible teacher who likes to focus on the short term and long term growth of each student. I focus on well rounded knowledge of music to promote an informed execution full of vibrancy and understanding. I graduated from Westminster Choir College with a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance. I am now at Mannes college of The New School in NYC completing my Masters Degree in Vocal Performance. I have performed in 7 countries with internationally recognized groups and traditional venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Vienna State Opera, and Broadway.

I have been teaching and coaching for 6 years in various studios and homes in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York. I have worked with all age groups, but I do have more experience working with young adults (15-18) and young professionals (18-28). I like to focus on healthy singing that is suitable for every distinct age group, along with methods to help with growth and transition. I also specialize in dramatic work and audition practice for those who are working professionally or preparing for a career in music. However, I also emphasize life long learning for those who are passionate hobby singers. I also specialize in Music History, Ear Training, and Music Theory as tools to create a well rounded understanding and eventual performance.

My goal with every student is to inspire imagination and creativity through curiosity. I like to ask questions about interpretation which can only be answered through informed opinions. These questions lead to a very personal and unique interpretation of music that allow each student to create their own performance. I provide several methods of inspection that guide students through curiosity to reach their own conclusions. It is the unique performance that captures the hearts of listeners and singers alike, and I have found that magic occurs only after guided investigation.

Great

Our daughter is loving her lessons. Thanks so much for working with her. It has really helped Abby hone back in on her voice and give her the confidence she has been lacking.

Amazing teacher!

Madison is an amazing teacher. She comes to each lesson prepared and organized, and I’ve already learned so much after just two lessons. Her passion for music and teaching clearly show in her lessons. I highly recommend her!

Very knowledgeable about choral work, analyzing octavos --extremely helpful for preparation for an upcoming Music exam

Madison took the time to review the preparation materials I sent her, read the prompts; she maintained a strong focus on how to answer the question thoroughly and well --exactly what I requested her to do; --very helpful, resourceful and knowledgeable; She knows how to work with children and adults, and can explain about how to differentiate work with both.

Madison is a very good teacher and communicator, She makes it enjoyable and easy to learn from her.

In my first lesson, Madison taught me to be more aware, present and also notice how I am holding and breathing into my body. I thought I knew about various breathing methods, but Madison taught me one that was natural, easy, and even enjoyable. I learned an easy warm up to do before singing. I also learned how to listen to my voice in various ways, which can help improve my singing.

Supportive and efficient!

Madison brings great energy to any topic, uses the online platform effectively, and always makes sure I internalize advice before moving on. She teaches new concepts effortlessly and has helped me pick up training from where I left off years ago.

Confident, patient, great teaching style

Madison has helped me from a beginning stage of singing. She started me off by teaching me how to train all of the muscles in your throat to properly pitch match with notes on the piano. It’s definitely definitely a difficult task, but it really pays off in the end and helps prevent you from causing unnecessary damage to your vocal chords. I’ve seen drastic improvements in my abilities due to her methods. She’s very passionate, outgoing, and focused on giving her students the best instruction. She’s incredibly friendly which makes it much more of a comfortable classroom setting.

Madison is helping with my upcoming Praxis test in music content. It is a daunting undertaking but with Madison's help, it is feeling less daunting. I have learned short cuts, different study methods, and the list goes on.

Fantastic Elocution and Diction Tutor!

Madison spent :30 minutes with each of our kids--11 and 13 years old. She gave them some fantastic tips on how to speak clearly while participating in video meetings, which will also help with general speaking skills in life. Both kids were a bit reluctant to start but were shining and happy after they had finished. Two thumbs up! We'll definitely use Madison again.

Fantastic

Only after a couple weeks working with Madison and my singing voice has already improved! I have more range and am easily able to utilize techniques she taught me to keep my voice healthy. She is also very willing to teach me songs of my choosing--which keeps things fun. Madison is also a kind person and encouraging teacher; she will make anyone feel comfortable, even if you are nervous about singing in front of someone. I highly recommend her!
