As a vibrant, young music industry professional, I have had a lot of experience in many different aspects of the industry. As a freelance producer and recording engineer, I've worked with numerous bands in the Philadelphia/NJ area. I received my Bachelors of Music and Music Recording Technology from Lebanon Valley College, along with a minor in Business Administration, while writing, recording, and touring with my own band The Engine Atlantic and running a startup booking and event company in Central PA called Revel Booking. I spent a large amount of time interning at Springhouse Sound, in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania during college. After graduation in May 2014, I was hired as an Assistant Production Manager and Guitar Tech with pop band Emblem3, well known for its appearance on the popular TV show The XFactor. After a full US tour with Emblem3, I was hired as the band's touring guitarist and spent the rest of the year on the road with the band. I have recently formed a production team which has been writing songs and compositions for licensing opportunities.
As a producer you have to understand the technical side of what you are trying to accomplish (gear, technology, software), the musical side (songwriting, instrumentation, arrangement), and the business side (branding and marketing). This is a quality that many young producers and engineers lack, but because of my experiences in many aspects of the music industry I have that knowledge that I would love to impart upon others.
I am proficient with:
-Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Reason
-Mixing and Mastering
-Analog audio equipment (mixers, outboard EQs and compressions)
I'd love to meet with you to discuss your goals and how I can help you achieve them. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a Bachelors Degree (BM) in Music with a concentration in Music Recording Technology from Lebanon Valley College. I have spent countless hours in recording studios, both interning and working as a freelance producer. During my time in college, I was hired as the Studio Manager where much of my work involved helping other students with issues in the studio (technological and otherwise) which has given me a natural inclination to tutor and help others in their quest for knowledge of music production.
